Giovedì 15 gennaio 2015 il Centro di Cultura Contemporanea Strozzina di Palazzo Strozzi (Firenze) ospita un evento eccezionale realizzato dal collettivo newyorkese CHERYL, un percorso fatto di ironia e provocazioni sulla società, l’arte e la cultura contemporanea.
Attraverso performance live e opere video, gli artisti creeranno una mostra-happening, una sorta di retrospettiva surreale in cui il tempo e lo spazio saranno alterati, contravvenendo alle regole e agli stereotipi degli spazi museali o delle esposizioni d’arte tradizionali.
Glitter, musica, coreografie e costumi saranno gli ingredienti di un viaggio immaginifico verso una realtà parallela in cui tutto è possibile.

ENGLISH VERSION
On Thursday, January 15, 2015, the Centre for Contemporary Culture Strozzina at Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, will be hosting a spectacular new event devised by the New York collective CHERYL, that takes an ironical and provocational look at society, art and contemporary culture
With live performances and videos, the artists create an authentic happening in the shape of a surreal retrospective in which time and space are altered, overturning the rules and shattering the stereotypes of traditional museums and art exhibitions. Glitter, music, dance and costumes are the ingredients of this imaginary trip towards a parallel reality where anything is possible.
CHERYL transforms the CCC Strozzina space into a succession of videos, installations and performances, involving visitors in a unique experience that recounts the group’s work to date and records new experiments in which the artists interact with the public.
