30 scatti per i Diritti Umani - International Photography Contest

«All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.»

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Art. 1

Approved in 1948, after the experience of two world wars, the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights", is the founding charter of our contemporary world, the foundation on which to build our future together in peace, solidarity and cooperation. Using this as a starting point, we created this project, to encourage participation and raise awareness of human rights, still so often violated, even within our own countries and communities.

We are looking for original, inspirational images. Images that provoke reflection and discussion on the everyday reality of our lives; from Spain to Ukraine, from England to Greece, Italy to Albania. We aim to present both the beneficial impact human rights have had on our lives as well as highlighting their continuing violation.

The international photography contest "30 Scatti per i Diritti Umani" is organized by the association "ASAP Europe" ,financed by the grant “Principi Attivi 2012 - Giovani idee per una Puglia migliore” in cooperation with“Equo e non solo ONLUS”entity manager of the Laboratorio Urbano in Fasano , UNAR Fasano (National Bureau Racial discrimination), the Association "Beyond Barriers" from Tirana (Albania) and FasanoLive.com part of the network LiveNetwork.it.
