Designed
to be the missing link within the Basel Art Fair empire, Volta9 represents
contemporary voices of exciting artists and curators from across the globe. In
it's 9th year, the fair is gearing up for what seems to be it's most exciting
expose so far. Galleries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia were asked to
focus on an enticing emerging artist who they considered of interest in
respects to fostering a healthy relationship for the length of the artist's
career.
The
fair opens this coming Monday June 10th and remains open through Saturday the
15th. Meaning "turn" in Italian, Volta promises to present the cusp
of the next great generation of artists who will boldly lead the way forward.
Having them all in one cutting edge venue presents us with the opportunity to
see who holds the aces of the future. As the galleries line up their
contemporary arsenal of young guns, we wait in the wings, salivating over the
anticipation of being blown away.
