Sabato 17 settembre alle ore 19 inaugura a Lecce presso LO.FT la personale di Rafa Raigón dal progetto “The Vigilantes”. Curata dal team di LO.FT - Alice Caracciolo, Francesca Fiorella e Roberta Fuorvia-, la mostra presenta, per la prima volta in Italia, un’accurata selezione di immagini appartenenti al progetto del fotografo andaluso, tra i venti vincitori della prima edizione a Napoli del format Slideluck.
In Andalusia, ogni città ha la sua grande festa, La Feira. E come ogni feira che si rispetti puoi trovare le famiglie di venditori ambulanti, i cavallerizzi andalusi e gli hippies e, soprattutto, ci sono i tendoni ed i loro guardiani. Questi ultimi sono il grande mistero delle feire: nessuno li vede, nessuno li conosce. Vivono in un universo parallelo - il mondo sotterraneo della fiera.
Rafa Raigòn nasce a Cordoba (Spagna) nel 1976.
Studia scienze motorie a Granada (Spagna) e più tardi teatro a Cordoba (Spagna). Nel 2009 si trasferisce a Berlino con la sua famiglia. La difficoltà di fare teatro in Germania lo ha avvicinato alla macchina fotografica anche per poter esprimere ciò che non riusciva a causa delle barriere linguistiche. Da allora, completamente da autodidatta, ha iniziato a sviluppare il suo linguaggio e le competenze nel settore fotografico attraverso la partecipazione a manifestazioni come il festival PA-TA-TA (Granada, 2012), "full-contact" a SCAN Festival (Tarragona, 2012) e al AWARD (Braga 2015). Il suo lavoro è stato esposto a Berlino (2014 e 2015), in Croazia (2016) e a Lecce, Italia, nel mese di settembre 2016.

Saturday 17th of September at 7 p.m. we invite all of you in Lecce at LO.FT - Locali fotografici for solo exhibition of Rafa Raigòn from his project “The Vigilantes”. Curated by LO.FT's team -Alice Caracciolo, Francesca Fiorella e Roberta Fuorvia-, the show presents, for the first time in Italy, an accurate selection of pictures from spanish photographer, one of the twenty winners at first edition in Naples (Italy) of famous format Slideluck.
In Andalusia, every city and every village has its Great week, its big party: "La Feria".
And every worthy Fair has its stallholders, its families with children and its party animals, its Andalusian Gentleman on Horseback and its Hippies, and most importantly, its Marquees and its Guards marquees.
They are the great mystery of the fair: nobody has seen the Guards, no one knows them. They live in a parallel universe - the underworld of the fairground.
Rafa Raigòn Rafa Raigón born in 1976 in Cordoba, Spain.�He studied sports science in Granada, Spain, and later on Theater in Cordoba, Spain.�In 2009 he moved to Berlin with his family. The difficulty to do theater in german made him pick up a camera to illustrate what he could not express due to the language barrier.�Since then, being completely self-taught, he has been developing his work and skills through festivals such as PA-TA-TA in 2012 held in Granada, “full-contact” within the festival SCAN 2012 in Tarragona or EI AWARD in Braga 2015. His work has been exhibited in Berlin in 2014 and 2015, Croatia 2016 and in Lecce, Italy, in September 2016.
