contemporanea, Noicattaro (BA), presenta la personale di Raija Kuisma, dal
titolo “I colori nel gioco del lavoro – colours in the work game“, dal 6 al 20
marzo 2014. Le opere dell’artista che Rosa Didonna, in qualità di art director
della galleria, considera afferente alla branca concettuale, vogliono
richiamare l’uomo alla salvaguardia dell’ambiente, dei beni culturali e dei
valori universali quali il lavoro, i diritti umanitari e animali, sottolineando
l’importanza di dare colore alla vita quotidiana. Fondamentale per l’artista è
dar vita ad ogni cosa, animata o non animata, catturandola attraverso
l’obiettivo fotografico, che come un terzo occhio, dona all’opera la propria
spiritualità, offrendole il potere della parola: un messaggio che riporta al
suo mondo interiore e, come nel riflesso di uno specchio, il fruitore potrà far
proprio. Inoltre, come ultima fase, l’artista si serve dei pennelli, strumenti
di perfezionamento e limatura della realtà presente. Il fine ultimo di Raija
Kuisma è quello di mettere in risalto il valore del gioco in ogni frangente
della vita, soprattutto nel lavoro: come i bambini sulla spiaggia costruiscono,
divertendosi, castelli a loro misura, così gli uomini dovrebbero impegnarsi a
riedificare il mondo, giocando, per creare un futuro migliore. dott.ssa Rosa
Didonna Raija Kuisma, from the town of Pori in Finland, presents her
photographs in Noicàttaro in the Globalart gallery hosted by Rosa Didonna. Raija Kuisma is a wanderer or
vagabond of the world and while travelling, she always takes notes of the
surroundings through pictures. She loves to photograph different surfaces and
textures. In her most recent photos people and animals have started to appear.
There might be a fisherman doing his everyday job or sisters of different age
groups taking a rest in between the busy working day. People and their work are
significant, no matter in which part of the world. Some of the photos were
taken in Sri Lanka, some in Mexico, some in Japan, some in Italy and some in
Finland. But the message is always the same; first there is work and then,
equally importantly, joy and play. Life is absolutely wonderful in all of its
colours and variations. As well as the human being has a right to work and
play, Raija Kuisma strongly takes part on the animal rights. Her traffic sign-
series concentrates on animal rights, strongly but playfully since she believes
that humorous way of telling things carries one forward better than stepping on
the barricade. The photos are printed with ultra violet printing technique
either on canvas, giving the surface a somewhat painting- kind- of- feeling, or
on flag textile material leaving the picture hanging a little bit transparently
in the air. Raija Kuisma has taken part in numerous exhibitions all over Europe
and has had several solo exhibits in Finland and other countries. Many exhibits
have been together with her glass artist husband Kari. Presently her works can
also be seen in her home town Pori and in the summer in Riga, Latvia, in the
autumn in Helsinki, Finland. (Italy has a very special place in her heart and
she has taken many journeys to Venice, her favourite place in the world, and
she has visited Naples, Calabria, Florence, Udine, Avellino, Cirella di
Diamante, Duna Verde, Caorle etc. She looks very much forward to experiencing
