On Friday, November 21st, Doppelgaenger art gallery opens Hurricane, personal exhibition of the french painter Gaël Davrinche.
Stand-out artist International contemporary art, Gaël Davrinche, claims his membership to the figurative pictorical tradition, through an overflowing stylistic polymorphism.
A strong dichotomy pervades his whole production : humor and solemnity, instictive touch and meticulous description, historical-artistic citationism and narration of the contemporary.
The exhibited works sweep this whirling variety of styles, techniques and subjects, faced by Davrinche without a defined order: from an almost childish signs in the drawings dedicated to the Gioconda, to the Memento M. series, where the poetry of the flowers is committed to a few delicate brush strokes; from the canvas and the papers of the Kalashnikov series, full of a violent gesture, to the surprising hyperrealist big portraits, where the skill of the artist gains its higher expression.

French man, born in 1971, Gaël Davrinche, graduated in painting at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
